Guest Post: Running Outfits

Hi Everyone! This is Raquel Woods from raquelsrunning.blogspot.com and I'll be taking over Annika's blog today! Feel free to visit my blog for posts surrounding running!

To link both my blog about running and Annika's lifestyle blog, I'll be going over good running outfit basics for women. First lets discuss weather, since this will be the main factor for what you'd like to wear. For those in warmer climates, I would suggest a basic shorts/sports bra or tank top. Since this is a pretty basic outfit, I like picking a sports bra or tank top with a cool design or intricate back like this one on the right. For extremely hot climates, lightweight fabrics will be key, so pick something thin and breathable. For moderate climates, try switching the shorts out for some unique leggings like these ones below, or switch the tank top out for a short sleeve shirt. This will ensure you don't overheat while on your run. Thermal clothes are a must for those of you in cold climates, so put together some thermal leggings with a thermal long sleeve shirt, and when in doubt put a sweatshirt on top since you can always remove that during your run and tie it around your waist! If the temperature is below freezing, you may want to bring with a headband to keep your ears warm, and/or gloves to keep your hands warm. Lastly I'm going to talk about running shoes. Tennis shoes are a fun way to elevate any outfit for a run since they come in so many gorgeous colors and prints. Despite how pretty they may be, make sure to always pick a pair that will support your joints and keep your feet comfortable while you run. After you pick your outfit, you're all ready to head out for your run. Don't forget to stay hydrated and bring some earbuds to keep you motivated while you run!
